Wall Graphics

Wall graphics from Olympus can help you easily turn your blank walls into custom wall murals, helping you create unique experiences and environments. With pressure sensitive vinyl, you can easily install branded graphics onto indoor and exterior walls to promote your brand.

Applications:

  • Removable materials for short-term wall applications.
  • Repositionable materials for wall decals that are temporary or can be moved, like fatheads, decals, and stickers.
  • Permanent wall graphic materials for indoor and outdoor installations.
  • Specialty materials for harder applications like Brick or Stucco walls.

Has the wall been painted recently?
Painted walls should have a smooth, high quality Semi-Gloss or Gloss topcoat and allowed to dry for 30 days prior to installation. Matte finish, texturized, and anti-graffiti paints should be avoided.

Installation day: What is the weather like?
Extreme temperature conditions should be avoided. If the temperature is too cold, it can prevent the adhesive from sticking properly causing failure. Hot conditions in direct sunlight create extreme surface temperatures which can cause installation problems as well. Dry, moderate temperatures, and low wind conditions are best for successful outdoor installations.

How long do you want your wall graphics to last?
Depending on your needs, we have material options that range from temporary graphics that are up for just one day to more permanent materials that can last outdoors for many years.

What type of wall do you want to apply graphics to?
The material, texture, and location of the wall will play a large role in determining the type of pressure sensitive vinyl used to ensure the best adherence to the wall.

Can you install the graphics yourself?
Due to the intricacies of installing pressure sensitive vinyl wall graphics, we highly recommend that you use a professional installer. We also recommend that the installer do a site survey before graphics are ordered to determine the best material to use along with additional site preparation instructions.

Overlaminate

A material or coating that is applied over a printed graphic to protect the image from abrasion and environmental damage. They can also be used to alter the finished surface appearance. Such as making a print look Matte, Luster, or Glossy.

Overlaminates can also enhance the functionality of the material. For example, an overlaminate can add functionality such as dry-erase or create non-slip surfaces for floor graphics.

Premask

A paper covering used for installing decals. It offers protection of the graphic during installation in certain situations and provides a way to space out cut decals vinyl lettering.

Die Cut

A graphic that is cut to a special shape. This is often used for standalone logos that require a custom shape outside of the normal rectangular wall.

Kiss Cut

A decal that is cut to a special shape and left on its paper liner. Generally, this is used in conjunction with a Premask in cases where the decal shape is very complex or needs to be spaced apart like Vinyl Lettering.
